Is motherhood harder than you thought it would be? Are you feeling overwhelmed, lost, or struggling to find balance in your role as a mother?
You're not alone. There's a reason why our experience of motherhood isn't what we expected it to be, and there's a way for you to feel more confident and fulfilled in your mothering experience.
Introducing Bloom, a transformative 5-week coaching program designed to help you thrive and shine in motherhood.
Together in Bloom, we will:
๐ฟ explore the realities of motherhood compared to our expectations
๐ฑ learn about matrescence as a particular stage of development
๐ practice some tools to increase self-compassion
๐ create connection in a space where you will feel held, seen and in community with other mothers experiencing similar feelings to you
By joining Bloom, you will:
๐ธ Be better positioned to gain clarity in your experience as a mother
๐ผ Feel more equipped to unpack the expectations vs. realities of motherhood
๐บ Learn how to embrace your growth through matrescence by understanding what it is and the profound impact it can have on you
๐ป Gain tools to help you to nurture self-compassion and be kinder to yourself
๐ Have the opportunity to connect with a group of other mothers and feel supported and within community
We will gather online on Thursdays from 12-1pm on the 4th, 11th, 18th, 25th June and 2nd July. During our time together we'll explore and discuss information from pre-recorded content that will be released to you prior to each session. Calls will be recorded and you'll be able to return to these, and the course content whenever you like.
Join Bloom and embark on a 5-week transformation. Together, we'll challenge societal expectations, unlock your potential, and help you to reclaim your sense of self in motherhood.
The name of this programme comes from this lovely little plaque that I found in an online stationery shop. Sadly the shop no longer exists and so I can't find out more about the artist.
I love the image of a garden of gorgeous blooms emerging from the woman's head, which could either be a headdress of sorts or a metaphor for a garden in bloom in her mind.
The text reads
Bloom: a beautiful process of becoming
This reminds me of the experience of matrescence, an experience where we are changing and becoming, and yet the essential parts of us remain, sometimes briefly hidden from view.
Are you ready to Bloom?
About Tricia, your facilitator:
My career in parent support began when I trained with the NCT to be a breastfeeding counsellor, qualifying in 2013. Before I qualified I volunteered as a peer supporter and continue to volunteer at a bi-weekly drop in near to my home. I qualified as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) in 2020.
I find working with new families fun and rewarding, and so have trained to expand my range of services to include birth and postnatal doula support, hypnobirthing, baby massage, introducing family foods, and holistic sleep coaching for babies and children.
I am particularly interested in supporting mental wellbeing; always important but even more so during the perinatal period. I have a Masterโs in Public Health with an emphasis in mental health and most recently have qualified as a coach specialising in matrescence. My aim is to ensure mothers feel fulfilled, confident and supported in their transition to motherhood, and throughout its twists and turns.
